take away all of the roles where he wasn’t even a supporting cast member and the number of films he’s been in is quite small. Then take away the absolute shit he’s been in and that number is even smaller.

I love Sam L but for every Pulp Fiction there’s a Shaft and for every Kingsman there’s a Jumper and for every Hateful Eight there’s a S.W.A.T and for every Jackie Brown there’s a The Spirit and for every Unbreakable there’s a shitty MCU film or a shitty star wars prequel

one reason why Samuel L Jackson is probably one of the greatest and most prolific actors alive is that he’ll show up and act if he’s paid enough or likes the script with the same amount of care for every single role he’s in

and sadly, with how the movie business is, there’s a lot more of the former than the latter

Is this supposed to be some kind of implications going on because he’s black? Because one of the biggest counterexamples I can think of is Dicaprio the white guy that was a fucking meme until a few years ago.

I’m sure others besides this chain have said more substantive stuff but it’s hard to take that implication seriously when you remember how hard DiCaprio got meme’d.
